Terms & Conditions

Appointment Confirmation, Cancellation/Missed Appointments, & Start Time

Kiki The Organizer (AKA: KTO) will contact you before your scheduled organization session to confirm. A deposit (the fee for half of the planned hours) for the appointment at the agreed upon rate is required to secure your appointment. Until the deposit is made, other clients may book your requested day and time slot without notice. Full payment is due upon the completion of each session

Cancellations received with less than 48 hours’ notice risk the loss of your deposit.

If notified 24-48 hours of the appointment, 50% of the session rate will apply.                                                 
- if notified within 24 hours of the appointment, or no notice is given, the full session rate will apply.
     

Emergencies happen and will be taken on a case by case basis in terms of awarding future credit. Cancellation fees must be paid before appointments can be rescheduled.

We kindly asked that the client is ready to get started at the appointed time for each hands-on decluttering and organizing sessions begin at the scheduled time.  Client delays are counted against the appointed times.

Confidentiality

The client recognizes that entering into this contract with KTO means that KTO may be in contact with personal items and information.  KTO agrees not to divulge any of this information and to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and respect for the Client’s possessions and home. 

Acceptance of Services

KTO provides the Client with a quote for hourly services along with a link to these terms of service. We require a minimum of a two hour deposit for all new clients. Payment of the deposit indicates an acceptance of our pricing and terms of service. Post organizing price negotiations are not accepted.

Disruption of Services

KTO reserves the right to terminate the contract if the Client repeatedly cancels/changes appointments or engages in disruptive, threatening, or violent behavior. Disruptive is defined as hindering KTO from carrying out their professional duties, and may include yelling, verbal abuse, and refusing reasonable requests. Threatening is defined as physical actions short of contact, general oral or written threats to people or property, and implicit threats. Violent is defined as physical assault directed at people or property.​We reserve the right to issue refunds in the event of disruption of services.​ KTO does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. ​

Fees & Payments

KTO will decide independently and communicate to the Client in advance the fees and expenses, and will charge fees and expenses which we deem reasonable, legitimate, and commensurate with our experience, the services we deliver, and the responsibility we accept. ​KTO reserves the right to charge different rates for working in any conditions we deem dangerous or hazardous based on the situation. We reserve the right to change our prices for products displayed at any time, and to correct pricing errors that may inadvertently occur.

We accept payment via credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) or cash. All payments are processed via a 3rd party to insure the protection of your data. We collect at least two hour deposit before each job. Full payment is due at the end of completion of job unless prepaid through the purchase of a package.

We ask that you speak up immediately if something is not completed to your satisfaction but no later than within 2 business days so we can correct the situation. This is hands on organizing so please speak up during the session. Our organizers welcome feedback and appreciate the chance to make it right.

Follow-Up

Safety and Personal Liability of the Client

KTO asks you remove any items BEFORE our session that may be breakable and/or may present a hazard to our employees. We practice a safety first mindset and ask our organizers to take great care in your home for your safety, the protection of your belonging and for their own safety. ​Please remove any firearms from the area where we are working prior to our appointment. Our organizers will not handle any firearms or weapons of any kind. They are instructed to leave the home while these items are removed from any working area. ​

Please secure all pets while we are working. KTO employees are frequently in and outside of the home while working. We are not responsible for your pets leaving the home while we are working.​ Children under the age of 18 should not be in the area where we are working and handling large and heavy items for their safety and the safety of our organizers.

Client may be asked to release all rights to before and after photos, to be used in KTO publications, including but not limited to the website and pamphlets. Client agrees that photos may also be used provided that Client’s name is not linked to the photos in any way. We take before and after photos. If you do not wish for us to use your photos, please let us know.

Photo Release

Regarding the purging, sorting, and organizing of items, the Client maintains process ownership. KTO recognizes items as the sole property of the Client, and though efforts will be made to help purge when needed, it is hereby stated that the final decision on such matters belongs to the Client. This is hands-on organizing and will not remove items for discarding and donating without your permission.

Process Ownership

Project outcomes depend on the Client's willingness to purge and donate when needed, and to properly organize and maintain items. Long-term maintenance of organization hinges on the Client's commitment to maintaining the order, and quantity of items in the space. We offer maintenance programs.

Project Outcomes​

Referrals are an important part of the success of KTO. If the Client refers someone to us who becomes a new client, the existing Client will receive ONE HOUR of organizing services FREE (at your next session) after the new client’s first paid session with us!

Referrals

All sales are final. There are no refunds for services/hours completed or post completion negotiation.​ KTO reserves the right to refund any remaining, unused hours from prepaid packages (based on the calculations stated above) and terminate the contract, if the client repeatedly cancels and creates a disruption of services. This is at the sole discretion of KTO.

Refunds

Retention of right to change offering

KTO may, without prior notice, change the services; stop providing the services or any features of the services we offer; or create limits for the services. We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend access to the services without notice and liability for any reason, or for no reason.

KTO always use what you already have first to organize instead of buying new organizing tools. Additionally, KTO always advise our clients not to buy any tools before our session (unless you have items you do want to buy and use) since it's better for KTO to assess the situation first to make sure you can get the right tools with right measurement to fit your needs and closet/drawer. Though KTO always bring some tools that help organizing more effectively, KTO won't use them unless you do need it and you don't have tools KTO can use. The Client can purchase and pay for those tools at the end of session so you would avoid shopping yourself.

KTO will either make suggestions about what supplies should be purchased and the Client will do the shopping OR per the Client’s request, KTO will shop and purchase the supplies, making certain they are delivered to Client's location. ​Clients are responsible to pay for all agreed-upon supplies (file folders, labels, labeling tape, storage containers, shelving, etc.) necessary for the completion of the project and the shopping fee. Shopping fee varies based on the time required for shopping, which includes the time to research, travel, shop and return the items for your needs. The standard hourly rate will apply for the shopping fee. If requested, the invoice for funds spent on Client's behalf will be provided as soon as possible and payment remitted by the Client within 2 days of receipt. Outside services (ie. furniture assembling service) are billed separately.

30 minutes of travel time is complimentary. Any additional travel time is billed at the discretion of KTO at $15.00 per quarter hour. Travel time costs will be provided in advance. ​You can save it by making the session longer (one 8 hour session - 1 travel fee, two 4 hour sessions - 2 travel fees). Travel fees may be waived at the sole discretion of KTO.​ Not sure if we provide services in your area? Contact us about your city!

Supplies & Shopping Assistance​

You agree to indemnify and hold KTO harmless from any demands, loss, liability, claims or expenses (including attorneys’ fees), made against them by any third party due to, or arising out of, or in connection with your use of the website or any of the services offered on the website.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, [website owner] assumes no liability or responsibility for any (i) errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content; (ii) personal injury or property damage, of any nature whatsoever, resulting from your access to or use of our service; and (iii) any unauthorized access to or use of our secure servers and/or any and all personal information stored therein.

We reserve the right to modify these terms from time to time at our sole discretion. Therefore, you should review these page periodically. When we change the Terms in a material manner, we will notify you that material changes have been made to the Terms. Your continued use of the Website or our service after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to any of these terms or any future version of the Terms, do not use or access (or continue to access) the website or the service.
